Hello everyone!  It’s September 1st and already we are feeling cooler Autumn weather.  I wanted to share several of the daily themes from summer school with you as we wrap up summer school this year.  From the photos below you will find Cotton Candy day, Outer Space day with our cracker and cheese rockets and Beach themed cooking where we made blue vanilla pudding for the ocean and crushed cookies for the sand (with Swedish fish candy on top🐟🐠)!  Also we were able to have a lot of fun when Maika’s mom gifted us a watermelon and we tried to break it open.  It was really funny when it was the teachers’ turn! 😂💕  Stay tuned for our last post about summer school when we had our snow cone day.  See you later! - Starr♡

Today was the last day of summer school and it’s been such a great success!  I’ll be posting a few more blog entries to share the rest of our fun before we get back to our regular schedule on September 1st!

Today I want to share our Science lesson: Ocean a bottle and our Relay event!  Both were a lot of fun ☀🌈  -Starr♡

Day by day we are getting to the end of summer school here at Victoria International School.  After only 2 days, we will resume our regular lessons. ☀️

For Sports theme we set up our own volleyball game.  This was such a huge hit for the kids.  They absolutely loved playing.  We will have to do this again on a rainy day. 💕

For one of our cooking days we made Rainbow Marshmallow Toast!  The kids had such a great day “painting” their toast.  This was a big hit as well! 🌈

8月も末ですが、まだまだ暑さは衰えを知らず…。
そんな中ビクトリアのPreとPre-Preクラスでは、9月のミニ夏祭りに向けての準備が着々と進んでいるようです。

いつも通りAiko先生とKotori先生に、(お楽しみを取っておくために)答えられる範囲で教えてもらいました。

1枚目の写真は、夏祭りの飾り付け用の提灯です。
飾り付けは当日の朝に行うそうなので、その日のお楽しみですね。

2枚目の写真は、箱と紐？

ヒントは3枚目の写真ですが、かなり難しいですね。

今日もKotori先生がなにかを作っています。写真で分かりますか？
私は分からなかったので、聞いてみました。

「これ、何ですか？」
Kotori先生「子供達の作品入れです。これに1ヶ月分の制作物を入れるんですよ」

表裏はカラフルな色画用紙、まち部分は白の画用紙でちょうど良いポイントになっています。
この可愛い入れ物で、子供達が作った素晴らしい作品の数々がおうちまで運ばれるんですね！

Hello everyone!  Happy Friday! ☀️

During summer school we made homemade ice cream!  We mixed milk, sugar and vanilla in a bag.  We put this bag inside another ziplock bag filled with ice and rock salt.  The kids had a lot of fun shaking the bags back and forth to help freeze the ice cream quickly.  Everyone was surprised when the milk turned to ice cream!  We all enjoyed eating this cool treat.  -Starr♡
