Hello all!  Even though spring is here, we are having some rather chilly days.  Keep warm everyone. 🌞

In kindergarten we are super busy getting ready for our graduation and class performance but we are studying at the same time.  Good thing we can multi-task!   This month’s monthly study is animals!  All of our students love animals.  We made monkey headbands and it was a lot of fun.

Spring has arrived!

It has been a while since we could make a post due to technical difficulties, but the children have been having a blast!

Flowers have started to bloom now and some of the children have been able to notice.
Graduation is happening soon for some of the children, with some of them who aren’t aware yet.

Still, everyone is enjoying everyday to their fullest!

Hello everyone!  Yesterday was the Japanese holiday, Hina Matsuri!🌸🌸  In Kinder, we made a craft and ate snacks to celebrate this day.  The kids had a lot of fun and especially loved the snacks. 😊    - Starr♡

先日PreSchoolClassはレッスンで「ひも通し」にチャレンジしました。

ひも通しで遊ぶことのねらいはなんでしょうか。
いくつかある中の３つのねらいをご紹介します。

【1】手先の器用さの訓練に

小さな穴に紐を通す作業は、手先の発達を促します。自分の意志で指先や手首を動かす訓練になります。

【2】集中力を身につける

繰り返し柔らかいパーツに紐を通していく動作は、集中する力と習慣を身につけます。

【3】達成感と喜びを感じる

何度も挑戦してうまくできた時に子供は達成感を感じます。
それを先生に見せて一緒に喜んでもらうことで、喜びも感じることができ、結果自己肯定感にもつながります。

この中の２にもあるように実際全員が、カメラマンK（私）も驚くほどの集中力で、わき目もふらずに取り組んでいました。

やっと出来上がって笑顔で先生に見せに行くところがとっても可愛かったです！

Merry Christmas from our Basic and Advanced classes!

We had our annual Christmas party and it was a blast.

We made ornament crafts,  played Christmas games and made Christmas cookies. We even had a surprise visit from Santa and he brought all of the girls and boys a present!

We look forward to seeing you again next year and fingers crossed that Santa visits us again! 🎅🏼  -Starr♡

Hello everyone!

It’s been a wonderful festive month here in Kindergarten!

At the beginning of the month we decorated our Christmas tree with ornaments, ribbons and bells!  Everyone decorated it so nicely.  It really helped kick off the holiday spirit.   We decorated the door with candy cane paper and hung red and green tinsel everywhere. 🎄

Everyone loved dressing up as Santa when we made a Santa hat craft.  Some children wanted to be a Christmas elf so we had some green hats as well. ⭐️

We had our Christmas recital and party last Friday.  Stay tuned for photos from that day. 🎅🏼  -Starr♡
