PrePre/Pre – Body Parts

The theme of this month is “Body Parts” and the children are excellent at remembering the name and where their body parts are!

During craft time they would color in the body parts and after we cut them out and glue them together to make a whole body!

For park days the newly grown green grass is a lot of fun for them to roll around in. Unfortunately it closed down for maintenance so instead the children get to play at the slides so win-win! - Gary

Kindergarten ~ Floating Ghosts Experiment

Hello from Kinder!

Day by day the weather is becoming cooler.  We love the signs that winter is on the way. 🍃

On Mondays we have science lesson.  One of the fun experiments we did in October was the floating ghost experiment!   We cut a ghost out of tissue paper then rubbed a balloon on everyone’s head to get some static electricity,  we then touched the balloon to the ghosts.  It was so exciting as the ghosts started to rise up from the table.  The kids wanted all of the teachers to try as well, so of course we did!  It was a lot of fun.

See you next time!  - Starr♡

PrePre/Pre – Remember, remember, this month is November

November has begun and so has the fun!

One of the popular holidays in America, Thanksgiving, happens this month.

The weather is fantastic most of the time and sometimes when we go out we bump into the kinder kids and all the children are so happy to say hello to each other! - Gary

Kindergarten ~ Frankenstein Masks

Hello!

We made many fun crafts during October but one of the favorite ones was a Frankenstein mask!  The kids loved wearing them and walking around all day in this cute costume mask.  Any crafts kids can wear is a huge hit!

See you next time!  - Starr♡

Kindergarten ~ “Room on the Broom”

Hello from Kinder!  I have a few more October things to share with you before we get into our Thanksgiving fun.  One of our new favorite books last month was “Room on the Broom” by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.   This is a great story about friendship and  being kind to others.  Our students made a lovely craft of the witch from the story.  They really enjoyed making something from a story they really enjoyed.  Please come back to see more of our fun in kinder!  - Starr♡

Kindergarten ~ Halloween Party and Trick or Treat

We had such a wonderful time at our annual Halloween party and Trick or Treat event!  There were so many wonderful costumes and everyone looked amazing all dressed up.  During the lesson we had a ton of fun playing lots of spooky games like ghost bowling and Jack o’lantern ring toss.  We set up a Halloween tattoo booth as well to make each costume complete.  We had delicious snacks and made black cupcakes with purple and green sprinkles.

Afterwards we had our Trick or Treat event.  Our kinder parents came to the school to hand out treats and candy to the children.  Each child had to say “Happy Halloween” or “Trick or Treat” to get their prize.   With the help of our wonderful parents,  this year's Halloween was a huge success!  We are already thinking about what costumes we will wear next year! -♡Starr
