Hello everyone!

Today we want to share a science lesson with you.  We have been learning about the pumpkin life cycle and this time we studied the inside of a pumpkin.  We learned about the different parts and each class got to learn hands on!  After we inspected our pumpkins, we then drew what we saw inside.  It was really interesting and a lot of messy fun!  -Starr♡

Hello and Happy Friday!

We are loving the cooler weather and really having a fantastic time at the park these past few weeks.  We’ve been playing tag,  keep-a-way with a ball, gathering fallen leaves and even had some magic tricks in the park thanks to Max!  Park days are the best! 🍁☀🍂  -Starr♡

先週は、ボールプールで遊びました。

暑い夏に少しでも涼しい気分をと始めたボールプール遊びですが、涼しくなってももちろん楽しい！
そして、この淡い色で星やハートの形のボール（？）とっても可愛いですね！

ボールプールには、講師が用意した「かに」や「いるか」のキャラが隠れているので、それを見つけ出す楽しみもあるんです。
トンネルをくぐったり、テントにひそんだりと、子供達は思い思いに楽しんでいました。

子供達が楽しみにしていたミニ夏祭り当日のレポートをお送りします♪

まずは輪投げ！椅子の足を輪を投げる的にしていますね。
講師が「Lion」「Hippo」と輪を投げる的を子供たちに伝えて、それを狙って輪を投げています。
たくさんの輪が上手に入りました！

お次は、ヨーヨーすくいです。箱に水を張ってヨーヨーを金魚すくいの網ですくっています。
子供達は真剣そのもの。集中して楽しんでいましたよ。

最後のお楽しみは「紐引きゲーム」！
夏祭り準備を紹介するブログで、講師が箱と紐とカードで作っていたあれですね。
子供達はまずカードを引いて、そこに書いてある絵や文字と同じカードを、今度は紐につながってるカードの中から自分で探し出します。
そしてそれを引っ張ると、小さなスナックの詰め合わせがもらえるゲームです。
好きなスナックもらえたかな？

夏の終わりのミニ夏祭り。
子供達の楽しんでいる様子がみられて、私たちもとても嬉しいです。
またミニイベント企画の時にはレポートをするので、お楽しみに！See you!

Good morning!  We are back to our regular schedule here in kindergarten and loving the cooler weather.  But before we get into it, I would like to share photos of our last day of summer school:  our Hawaiian Luau!

Each child made their own tiki masks.  They were super colorful and cute.  We danced to Hawaiian music and then we made our own snow cones.  This was what everyone enjoyed the most! 🍧💕

For our elementary class we had 10 former students (2 not pictured)  come and enjoy our summer school program.  I have known these kids for 6,7, even 8 years of their lives!  It’s such an amazing thing to watch students grow up and still get to be a part of their lives.  So great to have you come!  Can’t wait to see you all again! ⭐

Hello everyone!  It’s September 1st and already we are feeling cooler Autumn weather.  I wanted to share several of the daily themes from summer school with you as we wrap up summer school this year.  From the photos below you will find Cotton Candy day, Outer Space day with our cracker and cheese rockets and Beach themed cooking where we made blue vanilla pudding for the ocean and crushed cookies for the sand (with Swedish fish candy on top🐟🐠)!  Also we were able to have a lot of fun when Maika’s mom gifted us a watermelon and we tried to break it open.  It was really funny when it was the teachers’ turn! 😂💕  Stay tuned for our last post about summer school when we had our snow cone day.  See you later! - Starr♡
