Hello!

We had another great day at Summer school.   Today’s themes are Splish and splash and garden day!   It’s been rainy almost every day but we have been lucky enough to have a few clear hours of pool time.

During garden time,  we learned about the plant cycle.  After that we started to grow beans in a bag.  Each kid put a damp paper towel in a bag with two beans to see if we can get them to sprout.  We put them in the window so we can watch their progress.  We will keep you updated on how they grow!

Hello from kindergarten!   We had another fun day during summer school.  Today’s themes were craft and science. For craft time we made Ocean Process Art!  The students painted their paper in different shades of blue, then decorated fish in rainbow colors.  We finished the project with glitter because we all love sparkly fish!

For science,  we tried to grow a rainbow!  We used washable markers to color the ends of a paper towel.  We then took two cups of water and placed one end of the paper towel in each of the cups.  We hoped the colors would climb up the paper towel and complete our rainbow.  Everyone was so excited as we watched the rainbow “grow”!   It was a great day with lots of fun!  See you next time.  -Starr♡

絵本の読み聞かせでは、

“I like ◯◯◯“ “No, I don’t like◯◯”の

フレーズがたくさんでてくる

“Really? I don’t”を先生に読んでもらいました。

読み聞かせの後はフレーズを応用し、

”What kind of weather do you like?”

”Do you like stormy?” と先生に聞かれると

”No, I don't like stormy!””I like sunny”と

答える子供達。

Sentenceでのお話が上手になり、

Preschoolの子供達の成長を感じますね☺

Hello all!  We had another great day in summer school!   Today’s themes were cooking and splish and splash.  For cooking lesson we made orange slushees.  A slushee is a drink made of juice and blended ice.   The kids loved making it and thought it was so cool how the colors changed after they blended it.   Everyone enjoyed this refreshing treat! ❤

Splish and splash is pool time fun.  We cool off and splash around in the water to beat the heat.   Of course the students love this activity .😁

最近は雨続きで室内で過ごすことが

多かった子供達ですが、昨日は青空の下、

お外で元気いっぱいに身体を動かしました。

久々のPark Timeに大喜びの子供達☺

トンボや蝶を見つけ、

“Dragonflies!” “butterflies”と言いながら

笑顔で追いかけている子もいました。

これから梅雨が明け、暑い夏がやってきます。

熱中症に気をつけながら

子供達の体調にも気を配っていきたいと思います。

Hello everyone!  We have started summer school here at kindergarten.  We have 2 different themes each day and yesterday was gym/dance and music.

During gym/dance time we had a dance off and after we were warmed up we went to the mats!  The kids practiced tumbling and swinging on the bar.  Everyone did so well!  A few students were nervous but soon found their courage!

For music time we sang many songs and practiced rhythm.  At the end of the lesson we played musical chairs.  It was a new game for some of the K1 students but they soon caught on.  I think it’s a new class favorite! 🌟
